My Home This is what Chernobyl looks like nowadays. It looks like a bustling city but it is not. After the nuclear explosion in April of 1986, which was the worst nuclear explosion in history, everyone was forced to evacuate the city. Some brave families have come back to our home to live, but scientists and other experts say that it is still not safe. Sometimes people even refer to it as a "ghost town", because there is so little human activity there. This is a picture of the power plant, called Chernobyl- named after the city.
