Learn English through Reading

Reading is the best way for you to learn the native way of using English. The reading materials can be news reports, short stories or novels, or even texts in your textbooks. Choose an interesting text that is a little challenging but not too difficult for you.

While you are reading, you don’t need to look up every new word. If you keep reading, you will find that you can understand a lot even without a dictionary. Focusing on the materials and try to find out the meaning of the words by guessing with the help of the content.

If you think read a whole new passage is too difficult for you, try this. Watch the news in Chinese first, and then try to find the English news about the same topics. Since you have already got the basic information, even if you don't understand every word in the English text, you will understand it more easily.
