Home Reflections Projects About Me |
These three projects were done by using various tools located in Microsoft Word. WordArt Acrostic Name To create this project I used word art. Although I have used word art before, I did learn some new tricks within the program like how to make a horizontal word change to a vertical word. Then I learned how to select the tool within word art that allows the box to become moveable. This tool I have labeled "hitting on the dog". This tool allowed me to add hortizontal text to my vertical name text. Through word art I chose different styles of word art while maintaining a specific color theme. This was a fun project and allowed me to be creative, and use my imagination while intergrating language arts, in having to locate and think of different adjectives that I feel describe me. This could be a quick an easy project that students can use to present to the class during the begining of school when everyone is learning about each other and making new friends. Trading Cards I created trading cards based upon different farm animals. These home made flash cards / trading cards, aid teachers in creating an inexpensive way to add hands on learning to their classroom. These trading cards can be used across the curriculum as a quick and easy way to assess students comprehension. Educational Handout In this project I created a handout that I could send home with students that would inform parents. The handout was required to have a border around the edge of the paper and a watermark within the center of the handout. Before this assignment I had not used either of these functions. These tools can make newsletters, and informational letters to parents more visually appealing. I think students will have fun using these tools in creating covers for their reports, or maybe invitations to a party etc. |
