Project #6: Microsoft Publisher Project
Annotation
For this project, we had worked
together in groups to create a calendar and a newsletter using
Microsoft Publisher and Paint. My group consisted of Stephanie,
Shannon and I. After we completed the calendar and newsletter, we
used the paint accessory to make a print screen as the link instead of
the plain old text link. Next, we saved our other group members
projects to our individual desktops and transferred the files onto our
flashdrives, then we uploaded it our homepage using WS_FTP.
Although I have never used Microsoft Publisher or Paint before, I
found them both very easy and fun to use. I found the print
screen option especially helpful and convinent. I would
absolutely use those two programs in my classroom. I would use
the calendar monthly, and the newsletter weekly to send home with my
students, therefore, keeping the parents and/or guardians up to date
with what is happening in the classroom. I could have the
students take turns helping me design both the calendar and the
newsletter. The students would benefit from helping me, by
becoming familiar with both Microsoft Publisher and Paint. The
students would also benefit from helping me by taking part in creating
both handouts, therefore, allowing them to be creative in regards to
colors, pictures, information, etc.
