place of Jacques Cartier, the explorer who discovered Canada.
D Day BeachesThe
site for American troops during World War II, these beaches saw the
largest military landing in history on June 6, 1944. Today, these
beaches hold monument, museums, and cemetaries to commemorate this
historic event.
Giverny
This
village was home to Claude Monet, the founder of the Impressionist
movement. His home and gardens, where he was greatly inspired, are open
to visitors.
