Eiffel Tower
The
Eiffel Tower was built for the 1889 World Fair and has since become the
symbol of Paris and France. It provides one of the best views of Paris.
You can take the stairs to the first or second level or an elevator to
the first, second, and third levels.
Arc de Triomphe
The
Arc de Triomphe anchors one end of the Champs Élysées. It was conceived
by Napoleon to commemorate military victories. You can climb to the top
of this also to see a nice view of Paris.
Notre Dame de Paris
Notre
Dame de Paris is one of the most recognizable churches in France.
It is one of the places where the kings were couronnated. You can take a tour or attend mass there.
LouvreThe
Louvre is one of the most important art museums in the world. It is
located at the other end of the Champs Élysées. It has almost 35,000
works of art.
VersaillesVersailles
is located approximately 20 minutes from Paris. Once a simple hunting
lodge, it grew under Louis XIV until it became one of the most iconic
castles in the world. It can take more than a full day to adequately
visit the castle and gardens.
