Project 5:
Using MS Word to Enliven My Instruction

This project helped me learn to do some more things in MS Word that I did not know how to do before.  I feel that out of any of the products the trading cards would be the most useful for teaching.  I think teaching in these ways, by using technology will help to get the children really intrigued and involved in learning.  They will want to participate, and learn something ta the same time.

Product #1 WordArt Acrostic
For this project I learned how to use my name and
come up with a word for each letter to describe
myself.  This would be good to integrate into teaching
because having the children come up with good words
to describe themselves for each letter of their name
will give them more confidence in themselves, plus they
will just have fun doing this on the computer.

Product #2
Page Border ...

I never knew how to make a picture on the page washed
out and look faded into the background.  That was pretty interesting
to learn and so was how to make a page border actually.
I never knew how to do those two things before.  To integrate this into
my classroom teaching I would add colorful pictures and page borders to
some of my papers to show them.  This will help to engage the children
into wanting to learn how to do this themselves.  They will become more
technology literate.

Product #3  Trading Card
The trading card that I made is geared for kindergartener's; the uses
for this would be to help the children in 1:1 correlation between
words and the pictures that represent those words.  This was a learning
experience for me by far because i would have never thought
to make these cards as a literacy learning tool for children.
Now that I know tho I can print up my own flash cards to use in a
matching game for the children.
