Pronunciation: When someone uses an intensifying adverb, they often pronounce it a special way. People will move their voice up and down and speak more slowly to draw attention to what they are about to say.  They want to make sure that you are paying attention! Listen to these clips from a TV show that I watched when I was young called Full House to hear what it sounds like.  Pay special attention to how the speaker sounds.  Ask yourself these two questions;                  1. Does the sound go up or down?                  2. Does the speaker speed up or slow down when they say the word? Hint: When there are two sylable in a word (such as the word "very") pay attention to what happens to each syllable!
