My Home!

Our home here on the Great Barrier Reef is a floating science facilitiy in the middle of the reef.

Luckily, the Great Barrier Reef is in a sub-tropical area of the world. This means that it doesn’t really get very cold so it’s not hard to stay warm. However, when it does get cold we go hang out with all our friends in the ocean because the temperature of the water is much warmer than the temperature of the air.

The hardest obstacle about living on the Great Barrier Reef is avoiding the cyclones that form over the reef.

Using weather machines on our science facilitiy, we avoid these storms by piloting our floating science facitilites out of the paths of the cyclones.
