coral polyps - tiny live creatures which join together to form colonies.


Dugongs- large grey mammals which spend their entire lives in the sea. Fully grown, they may be three metres long and weigh 400 kilograms. They have nostrils near the top of their snouts. Dugongs swim by moving their broad spade-like tail in an up and down motion, and by use of their two flippers. Dugongs' only hairs are the bristles near the mouth.



Fish-  there is an estimated 1500- 2000 various species in the coral reef !

Molluscs- molluscs are one the of the largest groups in the animal kingdom.  They take many forms, but all share certain characteristics.  They have soft bodies with a muscular foot and a flap of tissue with covers the body (called a mantle).  They use gills for breahting.  Most molluscs have a shell, but there are few which an innershell of none at all.  There are four main groups of molluscs: gastropods, bivalves, cephalopods, and chitons.
