As we have discussed in class, Holden’s red hunting hat holds is a symbol for many things.  As English 10 students you have all learned the symbol that the red hunting hat holds: Holden’s unique ways and individuality.  This is not the only symbolism in the novel- there are many more- and the red hunting hat needs to be formally discussed.
