For an assignment you must do the following:
1. Go to a local water source and gather up piece(s) of pollution that you find.
2. Bring your piece(s) into class on Monday and we will be broken up into groups.
3. In groups you will discuss what you found and what kind of source it came from (point or non-point sources).
4. After
your group has worked together on this you must each research if you
think your piece of pollution is a positive or negative effect on the
life forms in that water source.
5.
During this week we will work together as a class to put together
a presentation to present in front of the mayor, a conservation
officer, and community.
6. Before we
get to go to our meeting we will all write letters to read to the
committee to inform them of what we all found, where we found it, and
what to do to help clean it up.
7.
As five extra credit points we will have a field trip to local water
sources to clean them up and do our part to help keep our fish happy!
*This is a group project so it is a group grade, if someone in your group is not doing their part let me know ASAP!
