Poaching

Many endangered animals are endangered because human hunt them even though it is illegal.  Another word for this illegal hunting or capturing animals is poaching.   There are many reasons why humans poach endangered animals.  One of the major reasons why humans poach endangered animals is to get a piece of the animal’s body parts such as tusks, hides, bones, horns, or teeth.  The poachers then sell this body parts for a large amount of money.  The people who buy these endangered animal body parts use them to make clothes, jewelry, and other objects.  Some people even use these body parts to make medicines because they believe that they cure sicknesses.  Another reason why animals are poached is to eat them.  Some of the endangered animals are considered a delicacy in certain countries and is therefore sold for a large amount of money.

Destruction of Habitat

Many endangered animals are endangered because humans destroy their habitats.  Many animals’ homes are destroyed due to humans invading them.  This is due to increased population of humans as well as humans wanting the natural resources that are found in the animal’s habitat.  Many humans cut down the trees in order to have fuel and more space to build.  Other times animals are endangered because humans pollute the animal’s habitats.
