Step 1: Students will work in groups to brainstorm ideas
about:
- How the Jews may have felt during the Holocaust
- Why you think the Holocaust started?
- What do you think could have prevented the Holocaust from happening?

Step 3: Each of your
group members will individually write a letter to a victim of the Holocaust.
Please provide the information your group has brainstormed, the information you
have researched, and your own thoughts and feelings regarding the Holocaust.
Your letter should include the following:
* Your thoughts and
feelings regarding the Holocaust
* At least five accurate facts about the
topic
* Ways in which you believe this tragic event could have been
prevented
* Neatness and correct grammar, spelling, and
punctuation
* Proper salutation and closing
Step 4: Each group
will create a timeline of important events that occured during the Holocaust.
Your timeline should be created on a posterboard, which you will present to the
class. Your timeline should include the following;
* At least eight
to ten important events that occurred during the Holocaust
* Accurate
dates and facts
* A creative title
* A description of each event
in detail
* Neatness
