Project # 7
For this project I created
a digital story using a digital media tool called Microsoft PhotoStory
3. First, I imported several photos from my computer that I
wanted to use for this project. Primarily, I found pictures of my
boyfriend, friends and family and imported them into Microsoft
PhotoStory 3. Then, I selected background music that was already saved
to my computer, and imported it into the project. However, the
first song that I chose was not long enough to cover the amount of
pictures that I included in my project, so I decided to select a second
song to cover all my pictures. After previewing my project, to
ensure that the music matched the pictures, I customized the motion of
each picture. I was able to change the motion and duration, along
with the transition of each picture within the project. After
this task was complete I previewed my project and saved it as an .wmv
file. Overall, this project was very easy and fun! This
digital media tool can be utilized in a classroom to create digital
stories of school events and presentations. I thoroughly enjoyed
this project, and have learned a lot about Microsoft PhotoStory 3 and
how it can enhance the learning process for all learners through words,
pictures and music.
