Process

1. Break up into groups of 2 or 3 people.

2. As a group, pick one of the slave state locations you previously learned about. Choose a starting point     and destination that the slaves followed.
3. Use the following links to research the route the slaves traveled to freedom. Take note of important         landmarks and people.
4. As a group, create a map to show the route you researched. Illustrate important landmarks and people     that the slaves met along the way. Each group will present their maps to the class, with each person in     the group presenting a different piece of information.
