Welcome to the Critical Media Literacy Page
EDU 315
This
semester has helped me to improve my computer skills. I have always
felt very comfortable using computers, but have not had a lot of
experience using a variety of programs. This semester has allowed me to
explore many new programs that I plan on taking with me throughout my
career.
Please take a look at the assignments I have completed this semester.
Module 1
This module describes the NETS for Teachers standard 3. This standard
states that teachers must be fluent with their use of computers in
order to use their knowledge towards students.
Module 2
This module describes the NETS for Teachers Standard 1. This modue was
created based off a video titled, Learn and Live. The video describes how one teacher encorporates technology in his classroom.
Module 3
This module describes the digital divide. Please take a look to see
what exactly a digital divide is. This module touches upon the NETS for
Teachers Standard 4 because it adapts to diverse students needs.
Module 5
This module describes all of the NETS for Teachers Standads. It
explains how I will use technology in my individual classroom. Please
take a look.

IMOVIE
This movie shows my educational experience from High School through College.
(This could not be attached due to a limited amount of space. If you
would like to view it you may e-mail me at Loomis89@cortland.edu, and I
will get it to you.)
Overall, These artifacts show that I have met the NETS for teachers standards
because I have developed a broad knowledge about the use of technology
in the classroom. The above assignments have touched on each standard.
I feel fully prepared, as a teacher, to educate my students on
technology. I know I am inspired by the possibilities that technology
can have on education and I plan on transferring my inspiration to my
students.
