PROJECT 4



Project 4 has been fun.  I enjoyed learning more about Microsoft Word.  There were two projects required for Project 4.


 First, Wordart Acrostic.  I used Word and the function WordArt.  I used my name and listed some qualities I feel that I possess.  This would be an interesting project for students to do.  It would be a great way for teachers to be able to see how the children view themselves by the words they chose to best describe themselves.  Once I finished the project, I used the function Print Screen and moved my Wordart to Paint.   Then in Paint I saved it as a JPG.  Once I was in Nvu, I clicked on image and selected the wordart.jpg and was able to put a picture of my wordart into my website.  I then used the picture and created a link directly to my Wordart Word File.  Second, I created an Educational Poster for my classroom.  I used Word and many of the functions available.  I changed the background color, inserted an image, and change font size.  I enjoyed this project and it is important to teach children how to use the functions of Word and it is also important that teachers take advantage of all the Word has to offer.  Many handouts can be created very easily. I also used Paint to turn the Word Document into a JPG so that I could put it on my website and use the picture as a link to the actual document.  Hope you like it.
