Each year we celebrate Columbus Day on October12th.  Columbus Day began in the year 1792 to honor the life and accomplishments of Christopher Columbus. Historical evidence shows that there were other civilizations present prior to Columbus's arrival.  Students will work in groups, collecting data and completing projects that will help them clear up any misconceptions regarding Christopher Columbus.
