Wampanoag Tribe | 1. (n) - A Native American tribe. They lived in the area known today as southeastern Massachusetts (Cape Cod and Nantucket) and Rhode Island. There were thousands of Wampanoag Native Americans living in the area at the beginning of the 17th century (1600's). | |
