Classroom Procedures

Entering the classroom: Please arrive on time and go directly to your seat. There will usually be a bell work assignment posted on the projector or power point. Please get to work immediately when you enter the class and be prepared to participate.

Late for class: If you arrive late, please come in quietly and sit at your desk. Ask whoever is sitting next to you what we are doing and be prepared to show me a late pass when I ask you for it.

Leaving during class: If you need to leave during class please wait until we are transitioning between activities to ask permission to leave. If you have a music lesson or know you will need to leave at a certain time, please let me know. When you return to class, see me for any work you might have missed.

When you are absent: See me as soon as possible for any work that you have missed. Any work that was due the day you were absent will be due the day that you return.

Extra help: If you need help with anything or do not understand class material, I am happy to help! Let me know and we can set up a time to meet after school or during one of your study halls.

Classroom Rules

The following rules were created so that we can all have the best learning experience possible. Please review them and make sure that during class you are respecting your classmates by following the class rules.

1.      1. Arrive on time to class and be prepared.

2.      2. Do not pack up to leave before I have dismissed you.

3.      3. Treat all others respectfully. No cursing, teasing, or bullying. Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourselves.

4.      4. Sit in your assigned seats daily.

5.      5. Follow directions the first time they are given.

Consequences: If you choose to break a rule, you will receive one to two warnings. Continued misbehavior will lead to detention. This obviously will also affect your presentation grade in class.
