Paella is a famous dish found in Barcelona, Spain.  It has a rice base and contains many types of vegetables and seafood.  It is a delicacy for lunch and dinner.

Patatas bravas are a traditional tapas plate.  They are potatoes that are cut into smaller square-like pieces and served with an orange sauce on top that is somewhat spicy.


Churros are a famous dessert/tapa found in Barcelona.  They are made of dough and lightly garnished with sugar.  Many times, it is served with a thick chocolate sauce for dipping.
The Spanish omelet is a famous tapa.  It is made primarily of potatoes and eggs.  Many times they have peppers and other vegetables cooked inside of them.
Ingredientes:
  • 1/2 pint of olive oil
  • 2 bowls of rice (1lb. 5 oz.  approximately)
  • 5 bowls of fish broth
  • 1/2 lb. of shrimps
  • 2 mid-sized squids
  • 2 lb. of mussels or clams
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 red pepper
  • 1 small can of peas
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 tomatoes
  • Saffron
  • 1 clove of garlic (optional)
  • Parsley
  • Salt

  •  3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 4 large Russet potatoes, peeled, and cut to 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons minced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Spanish paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon Tabasco Sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground thyme
  • 1/2 cup (4 fl. oz) Ketchup
  • 1/2 cup (4 fl. oz) mayonnaise
  • Chopped parsley, to garnish
  • 1 cup (8 fl. oz) olive oil , for frying

  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
