Acrostic

An acrostic would be an excellent introductory activity for any classroom. This activity challenges students to engage in self-reflection. It challenges their vocabulary skills and forces them to use technology in a creative and fun way. In a secondary History class, challenge students to create an acrostic for John F. Kennedy!

Trading Cards

Another cool idea. Create trading cards that organize material
help facilitate students abilty to retain important information. Cards
can easily be created and traded within the classroom. Presidential
trading cards is only one idea. In a secondary History
class, challenge students to create trading cards for Civil War generals,
Kings, Pharoahs, Greek gods, or even themselves!

This MSWord function is an excellent tool for both teachers and students. Teachers can "track changes" that they want to apply to student work and create a visual that is useful for illustrating specific areas of need. Students can use this tool to assess other student work. Papers can be submitted and returned electronically. Best of all, students can see their mistakes and how they can correct them in the future.

Another beneficial activity for both student and teacher. Creative handouts liven up the classroom and are great visual aids for study. Students can create beautiful handouts easily using MSword and can share their products with the entire class. Other possibilites include: flyers for school events, visual aids for presentations, fun posters, etc.
