Project #5: Microsoft
Word Project:
Part One: Acrostic Word Poem
Annonation
For this first project, I used Microsoft word to create an acrostic
poem using word art. To complete this project, I learned how to
use word art and how to format the different styles. I could
incorporate this activity into my classroom by having each student
create their own word acrostic using words that represent them, then
each student can share their poem with the class so that other students
can learn more about them.
Part Two: Border and Shading
Annotation
For this project I learned how to insert page borders and to format
them to how I want them to look. I also learned how to do fill
effects such as a watermark as a background to the page. I decided to create a newletter about going to an apple farm. I began
by choosing an apple border, then found a picture of an apple in
clipart, and used the watermark button to give it that faded look. This is
a good skill for me to learn because I can incorporate these effects
into my handouts. These effects will make my handouts more
exciting to read and may help with understanding what the handout is
about.
Part Three: Trading Cards
Annonation
For
the final project I created trading cards that could be used in a
Kindergarten or First grade classroom. To create these cards, I
learned how to create a table that could be folded in half to become
trading cards. I decided to make my trading cards for
Kindergarten/First grade, therefore I chose to focus on different
occupations. These cards will be useful to students when
learning about different occupations or other information about
topics being taught. they are easy to make and fun for students
to use.
