P:
Presentation
Teacher helps to build background knowledge of the characters and the adjectives describing the characters of the Fairy Tale of The Little Mermaid. The emphasis of the Presentation stage of the PACE model is on the comprehension of the vocabulary and the meaning.
A:
Attention
The authentic text of "The Little Mermaid" is used to draw the students attention to the adjectives (bolded words).  By having the students read "The Little Mermaid," it helps the students see the amount of adjectives in a Fairy Tale and how the adjectives are used in the language.   The purpose of the bolded words is to draw the students attention to the bolded words and to help the students develop awareness to the adjectives in the written authentic text of the Little Mermaid.
C:
Co-Construction
Students practice how to construct adjectives and what adjectives describe in the sentence.  In the grammar exercises, the students begin to grasp the idea of the placement of adjectives and the words the adjectives are describing.  Also, the process of the text box helps the students to think about the different adjectives in the story The Little Mermaid and the song Under the Sea.  The students will have to write their responses to the questions on a separate sheet of paper.  It helps the students to pay attention to the form of the adjective and understand why the author or speaker uses adjectives in written and oral expression.
E:
Extension
There are two activities that are for the student to pay attention to the form and the meaning of the adjectives.  The students will need to write down the answers on the same paper from the co-construction.  The students will receive feedback from the drop down boxes and the hidden mouseover features.
