Now, think about
manners for your own culture. Try to search the
internet to get some more information. Here are some things
to think about:
- How
are manners in your culture the same as manners in the United States?
- How
are they different?
- What
table manners do you think are the most important in your culture?
- What
table manners do you think are the most important in the United States?
Using the above questions, write a paragraph about the similarities and
differences and email it to your teacher.
Remember,
if you need help with finding your cultures manners, look on the
internet or ask a family member or friend.
Here is an example first sentence:
"In Korea, we never rest our chopsticks or spoon on our bowl or plate.
We also do not rest them in our food, to respect our
ancestors. In the United States, it is okay to rest your
spoon or fork on the plate."
