Introduction Letter

Dear Students,
    Hi, my name is Phil Lockwood and I have just recently moved to the Brazil Amazon Rainforest. As a new teacher at Forest Park Elementary School, I am very anxious to get the year started and do some exciting activities with all of you fifth graders. I moved to this area from New York and am living with veteran teachers in this school: Ms. Sarah Barletta, Ms. Anna Goldstein, Ms. Amanda Vanskiver, and Mr. Michael McKenna. I am so lucky to have been welcomed to this great place by such wonderful future colleagues of mine.
    I am a very active person and I am always willing to explore new adventures. As seen by my photographs, I really enjoy hiking, cliff diving, kayaking, swimming, and many other outdoor activities. I am looking forward to living in this beautiful area and taking advantage of all of the opportunities that nature will give me.
    I plan to incorporate many interactive activities for us to learn our curriculum in an enjoyable and engaging manner. I can not wait to meet you all on our first day of school!
