Assessment

Students will be working together as a class, and also have the opportunity to work individually to develop their knowledge on pronouns. As an ideal homework assignment, students will be asked to go home and interview someone. It can be a classmate, an outside of school friend or a relative. With their gathered information, and a modeled paragraph as a sample, each student will write a coherent paragraph about the person they interviewed using the appropriate pronouns. An illustration will accompnay the paragraph and they will both be turned in.

**Many of the interview points might not be applicable to each student. Depends on the individuals.**

Interview:

  • His or her father's name and job (Caregiver)
  • His or her mother's name and job (Caregiver)
