Presentation
Following up on our unit on jobs, let's think about some.
Firefighters are important. Why are they so important to us?
They risk their lives fighting fires.
We all need teachers. How do they help others?
Teachers teach us how to read, do math, and many other things.
Police Officers have many jobs. What are some things they do?
Police officers keep the street safe from criminals, help people when they are lost, and work in the community.
We've already read
HE BEAR SHE BEAR
, but today we are going to be looking at it to see the many jobs that exist in Beartown.
Think about it:
Do you think that they will be similar to the jobs in our town?
TEACHER READS THE STORY NOW!
We have heard the story again. He Bear and She Bear discover that other bears can be either "He" bears or "She" bears and that they do many things when they grow up. Here are some ideas.
She Bear can help her brother build a house.
He Bear can use his tools to help fix many things.
She Bear used her imagination and wants to try and race cars.
In his future, He Bear hopes to try and feed a whale or train a baboon.
