Artist Statement:

Have you ever been asked to describe something that you couldn't describe in words? That is how I feel when someone asks me to describe what art is. The best way I can explain it is, art is an escape from the world. It takes me to places where I can let my imagination run free. Art is an opinion, It is based off, if the work communicates well to the audience, or just simply if someone likes it or not. Each of us has our own opinions and no one can take that from you. There is no right or wrong in art. Art can be whatever you say it is and no one can tell you, you are wrong. They can just tell you their opinion and its up to you how you take that opinion, either in a good or bad way. Art breaks boundaries, and pushes the limits of society. Art can be a rebellion, or a sign for something we fight for. Art is so much more than a peice of paper and a pencil to me, it is an expression of my life.

My art is an explosion of my mind on various mediums. Art is how I say the things I can't. It's how I share my perception of the world. When people look at my work, I want them to feel something. I want people to be able to relate to it. I want people to hate it, I want people to love it, and I want people to not get what it is. I want them to have their own opinion when they look at my work and express it.

My work ranges from many different mediums. Throughout my work I use, digital/film Photography, fabrics and dyes, clays, computers, and paper and charcol. Not just my mediums vary but also my subjects. My subjects range from animation inspiration to political movements to the vastness of oceans that we might never understand. Art is what you make it. The world is a clean canvas just waiting to be painted through your eyes. Art is an expression. Art is freedom.
