Introduction Letter: |
Hello Everyone! Our names are Katy, Beth, and Jessica. We have just recently moved into the Alpine Tundra in the Rocky Mountains. We moved here from Cortland, NY. When we were in Cortland, we attended SUNY Cortland. We all recently graduated from this university. Although it is very cold in Cortland, the Rocky Mountains are even colder! Believe it or not, the climate is very different here. We have recently moved here to become teachers at Frosty Grouse Elementary School. We are very excited to have received teaching jobs in this area. We wanted to broaden our horizons and see other parts of the country. This should be a great experience for us! We have left our families behind, back in New York, but they are very understanding. While we will miss them very much, they are happy for us to have received these teaching positions and are supporting our decisions. It will be hear being away form them, however, we will make it through!
Since we have been here, we have noticed a few
problems. It seems as though the natural vegetation of the tundra
is being disrupted by different factors. Human vegetation, animal
grazing, and global warming all seem to be affecting the tundra
greatly. We really like the environment up here. It is
beautiful and we would like to think of some ways we could help. Thanks
for visiting our
site! Sincerely,
Katy Daly, Beth Harendza, and Jessica Zamlowski P.S. Here are some pictures of us from back home: Katy Daly Beth Harendza Jessica Zamlowski |
