Introduction Greetings from the Amazon!  My name is Theresa!  My friends and I just recently moved here from a small town named Cortland, which is in the state of New York.  We all met at college and have been best friends ever since.  We all moved down here to start teaching.  This is our first year and we are all super excited about it!  We all love working with young children and traveling. (especially when we can travel to exotic places like this!)  The only thing I am worried about is the problem of deforestation.  I heard it is a major problem all around the world, especially in the Amazon! More than 20% of the world's oxygen comes from the Amazon's trees and I just do not understand why companies would cut them down anyway.  Other than that, I love it here!  From the exotic plants to the interesting animals, it is absolutely amazing.  Well, I should go exploring.  Hopefully, I will see you out there!
