Based on our literature circles reading of the book Black Ants and Buddhists by Mary Cowhey we have decided to create this web page. It is built to look at ideas on how to work with children on the important topic of civic responsibility. We decided to put pages in on why it is important for getting teachers, parents, and the community to be involved in the education of students, why the students should be involved in the community, and ideas on how these things can be accomplished.
