Parental involvement in a child’s education is key to making sure that a child becomes successful in his or her education.

A few ideas for involvement (please
don’t feel limited to just these ideas):

Parents can get involved with their child by giving back to the community through volunteering in the school or at school activities.  Parents can also get involved in charity events, either though the school or through the community, and teach their child how important it is to care about others and help improve their lifestyles.

Other ways parents can get involved in the classroom is by giving their input about lessons and units the children are learning about. You can help the teacher by donating materials that the classroom needs and coming in as often as possible to help with activities or events the teacher could use assistance with, such as family fun nights or PTA events.

Seeing their parents involved in the classroom, as well as in the community, encourages children to become more involved and want to participate in more activities since they are able to with their parent or guardian.

Parents need to encourage their students with their education and community involvement. The easiest, most powerful way to do so is to get involved in their child’s classroom and community.
